Samu! (It's damn cold, yo!)

I spent most of this afternoon looking around Kawaramachi-dori for a down jacket like this one from UNIQLO, while being told by all my friends and all the shop keepers that it's spring now. Japanese people tend to go by what "official" season it is rather than the actual temperature outside when it comes to buying clothes. So the shops are filled with cute little skirts and cotton cardies, schoolkids are walking around in shorts and skirts ... and it's 3 degrees outside. It was snowing as Ashley and I were heading home and it's snowing now:
